John and Nikki Garrett served in ministry through local churches as youth pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers for over ten years. In 2010, they felt the timing and call of God to pursue their lifelong ministry dream of serving with their children in African missions.
Together with their entire leadership team from Tanzania, they completed a 12 week Advanced Mission Training in Zambia through Overland Missions. Both John & Nikki are licensed ministers through In The Hands of God Ministries, and operate under the covering of Touching Nations Today, Inc. John earned an Associates degree in theology through Life Christian University. Nikki previously lived in Tanzania for three years and speaks fluent Swahili.
While they now call Kigoma, Tanzania their home, John and Nikki take time every year to encourage churches across the United States by preaching the message of the Gospel and equipping the Body of Christ to fulfill the often unrealized work of adoption and inheritance that is theirs in Christ.
African ministry is their current assignment, but it is their relationship with Christ that drives them to see other saved everywhere they go. And while they love to be ministers, it is being bound together in marriage, and as awestruck parents of four children, that is the true joy of their lives.
